2. Bhoomi Pujan of 5,017 Crore Rupees Ujjain-Jaora Greenfield Corridor
Why in News: On 11 July 2026, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav performed the bhoomi pujan of the Ujjain-Jaora greenfield four-lane corridor, a project estimated at about 5,017 crore rupees.

3. Year of Youth 2027 Announced at MP Youth Conclave, Indore
Why in News: On 11 July 2026, at the Madhya Pradesh Youth Conclave 2026 held at the Brilliant Convention Centre in Indore, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav announced that the year 2027 will be observed as the Year of Youth in the state.

4. CM Says Uniform Civil Code Will Be Brought In This Month
Why in News: On 12 July 2026, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said the Uniform Civil Code will be brought into force in Madhya Pradesh within the month, with the Bill expected to go before the state assembly.
Background: The state’s UCC drafting panel, headed by former Supreme Court judge Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai, has prepared a draft organised into four parts, 404 sections and seven schedules, after analysing more than 9.58 lakh public suggestions received across questions, gender groups and communities. The panel is expected to recommend keeping Scheduled Tribes outside the ambit of the Code, in view of the constitutional safeguards and distinct customary practices of tribal communities. The monsoon session of the state assembly is scheduled to begin on 20 July. 5. Madhya Pradesh Records Above-Normal Monsoon Rainfall
Why in News: By 9 July 2026, Madhya Pradesh had recorded about 223.7 mm of monsoon rainfall, roughly 10 per cent above the seasonal average for the period, with the IMD issuing an orange alert for Morena, Gwalior and several other districts.
