2. Monsoon Fury: Very Heavy Rain and Flood-Like Situation Across East Rajasthan
Why in News: The India Meteorological Department forecast isolated very heavy rainfall over East Rajasthan during 2 to 6 July 2026, triggering a flood-like situation in Kota, Baran, Bundi and other districts.

3. RPSC RAS 2026: Application Window Closes for 607 Posts
Why in News: The application window for the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) RAS 2026 recruitment for 607 posts closed on 3 July 2026.

4. Rajasthan-Haryana Yamuna Water Project Moves Forward
Why in News: Rajasthan and Haryana have signed an agreement to operationalise the long-pending Yamuna water sharing under the 1994 Upper Yamuna River Board framework, a development shaping the state’s water-security push in early July 2026.
Background: Under the Rs 34,102 crore project, Rajasthan’s share of about 577 million cubic metres of Yamuna water will be carried from the Hathnikund Barrage in Haryana to the Hansiyawas reservoir in Churu district through around 295 km of underground pipelines. 5. Ram Jal Setu Link Project (ERCP): Water for 17 Eastern Districts
